Death She Wrote

Death is like an inkpot,
With its black liquid spilt.
It leaves an ugly blot,
When the canvas does wilt.

The brush is almost necromantic,
For it's the inkpot's wand.
Its motion is very frantic,
When casting its death pond.

The strokes it makes can kill,
And make a life be pent.
So when the inkpot needs its fill,
Someone's time will be spent.

Like when death comes knocking,
The inkpot's brush dips in.
Its slow pace of paint is mocking,
Like when a shark shows its fin.

Your lifespan will be chopped,
As the brush continues its painting.
So when your heart has stopped,
It'll be hard to not be fainting.

If a picture's worth a thousand words,
Than the inkpot's is worth more.
Like all the paint a canvas hordes,
Death does have a long lore.
Yeah, I made a pun off of Murder She Wrote :XD: Anyways, this is another English Assignment. We had to pick either death, love, or loyalty and do a poem using a metaphor to describe it. It was in this one poem we read called Life in class. Anyways, so I chose death and compared it to an inkpot. Yeah, I know this doesn't look like a concrete poem but the words are written to represent a paintbrush's stroke :XD: I'm not good with poetry but I hope you like it.

Hey, you get an A just for using the words "necromantic" and "lore" :XD: But nice job, sis. Funny that you call this a concrete poem, since I'm studying those in my poetry class, but if you really want it to be in a concrete form, then I'd have the verses take the form of an inkpot. Just an idea...
